The 4 best viewpoints in the center of Madrid
Although there are many places to enjoy the views of the capital, the most special are the best viewpoints in the center of Madrid, located on large terraces of tall buildings in the center of the city. All can be visited after doing the Eco Tuk Tuk Madrid tuk tuk route, the four most outstanding being the following:
1. El Corte Inglés of Callao
On the top floor of the Corte Inglés in Callao, in the space known as the Gourmet Experience, you will have one of the most iconic views of Madrid, as well as for free. Although you can enter for free, we recommend you order a tapa at one of the food stalls on this floor and go out to the terrace or sit at the tables inside, always next to the windows, to see the incredible panorama of La Gran Via, the famous Schweppes sign, Plaza Callao and in the background, the Torre de Madrid building.
2. Círculo de Bellas Artes
Another of the best things to do in Madrid is to go up to the roof of the Círculo de Bellas Artes building with the imposing statue of the goddess Minerva to observe the impressive Metropolis Building (our favorite in the city), the beginning of the Gran Vía and Alcala Street. Although the entrance costs 5 euros, it is worth spending the afternoon having a drink on its large terrace with views of a large part of Madrid listening to background music.
3. Riu Plaza de España Hotel
The terrace of the Riu hotel, located in the Plaza de España and inaugurated in 2019, has quickly become another of the places to visit in Madrid with the best views. Going up in a few seconds with the fast elevator to the 27th floor you will realize the reason for its name “From Madrid to Heaven”, and that is that its height of 117 meters offers 360-degree views of the entire capital that will leave you speechless.
4. Cybele Palace
Another of the best viewpoints in Madrid is located on the 8th floor of the former Palacio de Comunicaciones, the headquarters of the Madrid City Council since 2007 and known as Palacio de Cibeles. In addition to enjoying panoramic views of Madrid with the Cibeles Fountain, Alcalá Street and the Prado and Recoletos promenades in the foreground, you will have the opportunity to visit the interior of this imposing palace made up of two white-fronted buildings and a impressive lobby, for only 3 euros.
